On October 31st 2024, just before midnight, a white 2016 BMW X5 with no plates came dangerously close to colliding with a Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) Deputy at the intersection of 168th and Pacific according to scanner audio and official police reports. The suspect vehicle was traveling west bound at an estimated 100 MPH. The reckless driver continued to speed past several marked units, weaving through traffic in a no-passing zone while flashing their lights at officers.
