On the morning of June 5, 2025, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine held a press conference to address the ongoing investigation into the fatal officer-involved shooting of 19-year-old Janidi Ibrahim on May 22. Kleine stated that the deputy was justified in the shooting.
Later that afternoon, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) conducted its own press conference to provide further details on the incident. Sheriff Aaron Hanson and Lt. Jason Stehlik both spoke. The press conference, presentation slides, and related video materials are available below.
